Is Menu Express really free? What's the catch?

Yes, 100% free — no credit card, no trial, no account required. We built it to be genuinely useful: upload your menu, get a QR code, done. We hope you'll love it enough to explore the full Waiterr platform later, but there's zero pressure. Your QR keeps working forever, even if you never sign up.

What file formats can I upload?

PDF, JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 15 MB per file. Most restaurants use the same PDF they send to their printer. If you have several menu pages, combine them into a single PDF before uploading.

Where does my menu live once uploaded?

On a branded Waiterr page (waiterr.app/m/your-code) that's optimised for mobile. Your QR points to that page — guests scan, the page opens, they see your menu. You get a public URL you can share on Instagram, WhatsApp or your Google Business profile.

Can I update my menu without reprinting the QR?

Yes. That's the whole point: the QR stays the same forever, but you can swap the underlying PDF or image whenever you want. Your printed QR stickers stay valid — no reprinting cost when your prices change.

Do I need to add my restaurant's name, address, etc.?

No, all optional. You can generate a QR in 30 seconds with just the file. Adding your logo, opening hours, address and socials makes the page look more professional (like a mini Google Business page) but it's your call, and you can add them later.

Is there a limit on how many times my QR can be scanned?

No limit — scan it a million times if you want. We track scan counts in your dashboard so you can see how many people opened your menu, but there's no rate limit or throttle.

How is this different from a paid Waiterr plan?

Menu Express is a static page showing a PDF or image of your menu. A full Waiterr plan gives you a dynamic digital menu (edit items, prices and availability from an interface, no more PDF re-uploads), online ordering, pay-at-table, POS, KDS, loyalty, marketing… It's the whole restaurant OS versus just a QR.

Can I remove the Waiterr branding from my QR and page?

Yes — with a one-time payment you unlock the pro pack: no Waiterr watermark on the QR, custom brand colours, higher-resolution downloads and priority processing. Or upgrade to a paid Waiterr plan and it's included.

Can I claim the QR into an account later?

Yes. If you create a free Waiterr account, you can claim your Menu Express QR into it, then upgrade to a full dynamic menu when you're ready — same QR, same URL, upgraded experience.
